We provide outstanding, sustainable education powered by personalization, great teaching, and healthy habits.

Our main idea

Education is about more than just knowledge, it’s about creating the Habits and Character needed for future wellbeing. HabitusCo instils these habits at every level of our educational ecosystem.

  • We prepare students for International IGCSEs and A-Levels allowing to access universities across the world. We provide personalized learning driven by AI & the science of learning.

  • We are a zero waste school! All food waste is composted. Please send to school in reusable containers. Our aim is to be 100% energy independent, powered by solar panels. Our hydroponic garden and food production system is integral to everything we do.

  • English is essential for the future. Our curriculum is taught only in English, and we hire teachers with international experience. A minimum level of proficiency in English is required for success.

  • All children get a thorough understanding of digital skills, coding, and Web 3. They obtain the skills and knowledge required to work online as developers or programmers should they wish.

  • We believe all children should have the chance to express themselves creatively without the restrictions of subjects or grades. This could be through Music, Art or Creative writing. Our focus on personalized academic learning in the mornings means the afternoons are free to create!

  • We partner with the team at SEE Learning from the university of Emory to train all our children in the contemplative practices they will need fo their future success.

Meditation, prayer and gratitude practices are part of what we do every day. All our students practice silent meditation, reflection or prayer (according to parents practices) for at least 30 minutes every day!

  • All our children engage in real life projects related to serving the community. they are encouraged to reach out to local businesses for apprenticeships, sustainable work such as beach clean-ups, or collaborations with local charities.

Driven by a vision to create thriving learning environments, he founded HabitusCo. This innovative model integrates AI-powered personalized learning, eliminates traditional grades and year levels, and blends the science of learning with holistic wellbeing. By addressing the root causes of stress in traditional education, HabitusCo aims to empower both students and educators.

Drawing inspiration from his 18-year practice of martial arts and Dzogchen meditation, as well as the insights of Jon Kabat-Zinn, Erik Storlie, and Robert Thurman, James brings a unique perspective to educational reform. You can learn more about his work and experience on his LinkedIn page.
